Emery’s Notes:
I had just begun dating my future wife and was
head over heels in love when I wrote this song. At that time, I was really
into Buddy Holly’s music (still am!), and tried to do as much with three
chords as I could. In the bridge part I’m sure you’ll detect a reference to
the Beach Boys, another favorite vocal group of mine. All in all, a song to
celebrate done with a retro feel fast forwarded to today. Viva Buddy
Holly!!
